Lily Tolpo is our Northwest Illinois treasure.  She created a life-size bronze of Lincoln & Douglas engaged in their famous second debate in Freeport, Illinois in August of 1858.  That piece sits on the historic site in Freeport.

Lily and Rotarian, Dave Fonda, worked together on the concept.  Dave presented the idea in a sketch, and Lily did the rest.  Our talented Lincoln impersonator, George Buss, was Lily's model.
